Attention NJ, NY, and PA opponauts! Im putting this out here as a feeler thread to gauge interest. I (along with others) have expressed an interest to organize this event at the Hawk's Nest near Port Jervis, NY. Im open to ideas, but i think it would be great to plan a meet&cruise, and have some sort of a bbq at a nearby park. If you think you'd be interested, leave a comment below.

If this gets enough interest Id be more than happy to get all the details figured out for a meet in November. Keep in mind it will be a Saturday or Sunday unless the majority wants a weekday meetup.

However, if i get no interest, it will be pushed all the way to next spring. So, if yall want to have a meet, chime in.

Any input is appreciated. The NOVA guys had a meetup, and id like to try to do the same for us Northeasterners.

(fyi- ill be posting this around at different times on oppo to gather the day guys, and the night owls)

once again, tri state area is NY, NJ, and CT, but I forgive you since I no longer live in the hellhole called CT :)

Also would be interested if it is a weekend I am down there visiting. Be good to get out of the Maine cold and let some whip stretch it's legs

Lol. Relativity, my friend. PA is closer to the Hawks nest than CT. But they are invited if they wanna make the trip over.

And it should be a weekend. Since im sure a good amount of us go to classes, and/or have work.

haha yeah I know. my buddy from around the Delaware Water Gap area argues with me all the time about it. However, I am down there quite a bit, and I am looking to pick up a car in Philly before the snow starts flying up here. Need to tune it in with a work trip to philly but if it works out I will be coming up through with another Peugeot one weekend and will run through for a meet.

Im interested, I can put something up with my cruising group as well.. let me know. and the image of the Minis, I was at hawks nest about 2 weekends ago, and I saw a bunch of minis drive by was it your group? I was on the side taking images, of motor cycles and the Prowler group I was with.

Sounds neat but it's 2.5 hours from me (in the Philly burbs). I very selfishly propose you move the location to Allentown - specifically, here: Lehigh Valley Grand Prix

I live in CT. I can't drive. I'll probably miss this one, but if you do one in the spring my older brother (190e30) can then drive me (state laws) and I would be happy to go! Well, as long as he's going.

Lol, the spring one is still a ways off haha. Theres no way to plan anything that far off at the moment.

If I recall correctly theyre 9hp karts, which are the most powerful indoor karts anywhere in this area. Legit place with a massive parking lot. Bonus: rain or shine the event rocks.

Can't be that far from NYC, although I haven't googled it. I can make it from Philly to the GW in an hour and a half so it can't be thaaaat far. Plus, who needs NY opponauts when you can get PA opponauts =)

I was gonna go searching for a easy to get to location where we can all meet up first. Then from there, cruise to the destination. With the hopes of going through the hawks nest.

The writers schedules are probably very busy and i wouldnt expect them, to be honest. But im pretty sure a few of them live in or around the city. 5 boroughs or long island. but im not certain.

As for central jersey meetup. Just depends. What about Sandy hook? I was just there for a meet and its a great venue, and easy to get to. Only thing is tolls from the parkway.

and it seems we might have close to 15 people now. So if its good with you, ill green light it to set a date, and we can start finalizing some details.

Well, they are saying yes behind the comfort of their keyboards. But so far between the 2 posts i made it could be between 11-15+. A few maybe's could boost that number.

Ill make a list with peoples usernames in the next few threads to get a better idea.

I saw a grill to use with charcoal. And its says there are bathrooms. And its right at the beginning of the hawks nest. So we could cruise up and down, then come back after to have a bbq.

Id have to call about parking to see how much space is actually available. or ill just cruise over to check it out.

btw, these dates dont interfere with your miata thing at etown does it?

Haha dont say that! i had to run a cross country race in HS a few years back in the snow in october.... On the plus side, it was the fastest race i'd ever run. I really wanted to put my pants back on... ANYWAYS!

Im not seeing anything on that link, but is it a motorcycle group? Right now there are about 15 people on the yes/maybe list. So im thinking ill move ahead with phase 2.
